Kevin O'NeillSubject: Support for XML:DB?

Hi,
I wondered if Stylus Studio would be adding support for the XML:DB interface spec? Either that, or direct support for Tamino and eXist.

Cheers,
Kev

At this point we haven't see a demand strong enough to justify investment in supporting XML:DB; in fact, you are the only person who has brought this up in the past four years (which is more or less the age of the latest XML:DB WD, if I'm not wrong).

In terms of being able to access documents stored on XML databases, if the server supports WebDAV, you can do that; if you are looking for more tight integrations (like being able to run an XQuery on the XML database server), so far we have done that only when working with partnering company (like MarkLogic, and others to appear soon).

That said, we have looked into eXist, and we would like to better integrate with it; it's on our "to-do" list.

Thanks,
Minollo
