Greg BraleySubject: Executing SQL/XML from outside the Stylus environment
Author: Greg Braley

I am looking for any examples of how to execute a SQL/XML
query from outside the stylus environment. My goal is to use c# or vb.net
generate an xml file.

I have not had any luck locating this information.

example of statement
SELECT
XMLELEMENT(name "Header",
XMLELEMENT(name, "Status", t.StatusName)
)
FROM Status t

Can you give me any links or resources that would point me into the
right direction on generating a connection object and executing the results into a file.

Thanks

Greg

Microsoft .Net Framework API supports a different standard called SqlXml.

Take a look here
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/sqlxml3/htm/dotnet_9n03.asp

Hope this helps
Ivan
