Neal WaltersSubject: Order that Attributes are Displayed
Author: Neal Walters

How does Stylus Studio determine the order to display the attributes
in the XSLT mapper? They seem to be somewhat random compared
to other products I've used. Seems like they are not the same as the
order defined in the schema.

For example, we define Title, Firstname, Lastname, Company, Street, etc...
but in XSLT mapper
it shows Country, Firstname, Company, Street, Lastname, etc...

Thanks,
Neal Walters

We will look into that; I would have expected attributes to be listed alphabetically or in the same order as they are found in the source document/schema.

BTW, differently from element order, attribute order in XML doesn't matter.

Hi,
Is there a resolution on this yet? We have a couple of scripts that do depend on attributes being in the correct order. It would be nice if the mapper would adhere to the order attributes are specified in the destination schema. Moving mappings for attributes around by hand is quite painful.
