The editor should remember the user's place in the
source file and the style in which it was
displayed at the time it was closed. The current
version doesn't even do that when you hop out for
a moment to look at the schema and then come back.
The lack of this is very disruptive to a content developer.

You have to sort the available elements and
attributes of an xml file restricted by a dtd or
schema in the drop down. It's not just a
validation, it's also used as clues which doesn't
work in a random list.

I got Stylus Studio by "hunting". Some time ago, I
"bagged" the Morphon XML editor. While lacking the
huge breadth of functionality in Stylus Studio,
they seem to have gotten XML editing right. For
example, wyswyg editing of an XML source using a
style sheet to format it. You want to blow content
developers away? Add this feature.

possible to him that religion and literature and art and
music were all merely side effects of a brain structure that
comes into the world ready to make language out of noise,
sense out of chaos. Our capacity for imposing meaning, he
thought, is programmed to unfold the way a butterfly's wings
unfold when it escapes the chrysalis, ready to fly. We are
biologically driven to create meaning.
