Sometimes I can find that stylus studio does not recognise fo stylesheets. So instead of opening in a pdf file, it opens the output in a xml format.

Can you provide a specific example?
And what do you mean by "sometimes"?
Is it that the same stylesheet with the same input fails, or is it
that some stylesheets or some input files cause it to fail?

The same stylesheet runs and displays pdf first time and in the next time , it displays xml output. Also sometimes it displays xml output in 5th time too.

It is the same stylesheet with same input file.
In my case the input file is a html file.

So, you press [F5] or choose Preview, and it runs, and you immediately
do it again and it fails?

Could you please attach a test case so that we can try to solve this?
