Could you precise when Stylus will bring some XQUERY manipulation language like add a node, delete, update.
I understand that the Standardization process on such subjets is running right now but ... if some advanced capabilities is allready possible, I will use it now evn if I must change in the near future my codes.

Alain,
you belong to a restricted group of people that would invest today in
the update XQuery grammar for changing things later significantly.

The W3C XQuery working group just recently resumed work on the XQuery
update capabilities, and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw results only in
a 2 years or longer timeframe.

Stylus Studio is heavily investing in the future of XQuery, but support for
Update will need to wait until something a bit more stable is available.
