Hi,
I have tested the xml query use cases on page http://www.w3.org/TR/xquery-use-cases/
but the software (stylus studio xml professionel v 6.0) don't support
all this use cases, in particular then NS - Q7 and then use case R (Access to
relationel database). Do you know where is the problem??? thank you.

Hi Alexandre,
the document containing the use cases is aligned with the November 2003
version of the specs, while Stylus Studio 6.0 follows a more recent version
(July 2004). This means that some differences in the formatting of numbers
(25 vs 25.0) are expected. Other differences, e.g. in the placing of the
namespace declaration, don't affect the result, but only how it is serialized.
If you need an explanation of the differences, please post the actual
result of the query and what you would have expected.

Thanks,
Alberto

Hi Alexandre,
Stylus implements the core XQuery 1.0 language, that is approaching the
Recommendation status; there are also a bunch of auxiliary documents being
drafted by the W3C (among them, update and full-text extensions) but they
are still at a very preliminary phase, and it's still too early to start
implementing it.
