Subject:How to check (by XPath) if //zzz == /aaa/bbb/zzz ? Author:Matt Adams Date:21 Sep 2004 05:01 PM
I want to check if all the zzz nodes which exist over the
XML tree (XPath: //zzz) are equal to all the zzz nodes
with the absolute path (XPath: /aaa/bbb/zzz).
In other words I need something like a XPath function "equal()"
which returns true if equal("//zzz","/aaa/bb/zzz")
is equal or false otherwise.
As far as I know there is no such method like equal().
How could I write such a XPath expression?
Alternatively I could imagine zhat the equivalence could
be determined by the number of nodes in both specifications
rather than the nodes themselve.
