Author: Meghana T

Hi,

Using Stylus Studio, is it possible to use XQuery to query data from RDBMS? Or only SQL/XML can be used.

TIA,
Meghana.

You can use it XQuery to query from RDBMS; two ways to do that:

1. Configure and save a DB-to-XML connection (it can be any SQL query), and
then you can reference it as a data source in any XQuery script

2. When you choose the input for your XQuery, click on the "Relational DB"
icon on the left of the Open File dialog, and then click on the "URL
Builder" tab at the top of the dialog; that will allow you to point
directly to a specific table/view that you want to use as the XQuery source.

Hope it helps,
Minollo
