Hi Riten,
can you provide an example? What kind of spaces that you didn't write do
you see in the XML files?
Do they appear only when you check the file out from ClearCase?

We had a problem that kept image files with spaces in their names
from being seen. For existing files with that problem, replace any
'+' symbols in the URL with '%20'. For files attached from this
point forward, there should not be a problem.

Hi Riten,
it looks like your end-of-line characters gets duplicated after going
through a check-in/check-out operation.
Stylus 4.5/4.6 (the version you are using, at least from what I can
understand from the screenshot) always writes the XML documents using the
sequence CR-LF, the standard Windows uses (if you open the document using
an hexadecimal editor, you will see each line followed by the two
characters 0x0D 0x0A).
I guess that somehow ClearCase thinks the document is using a different
end-of-line, and "fixing" it; but I would need to look at the XML document
to see which standard it is expecting.
In any case, I see two solutions:
1) as ClearCase is probably misconfigured, you can ask your IT department
to check why it is assuming a different end-of-line character (unless you
are using a Unix or Mac machine to do the check-in/check-out operation)
2) try downloading an evaluation version of Stylus 5.1 from
http://www.stylusstudio.com; this version autodetects the end-of-line
character being used in the document and use it when saving the document.
If it works, you could consider upgrading your 4.x license.
