Todd JaspersSubject: IF????? HELP!!!!
Author: Todd Jaspers

Hey guys, I have a section of text in my XML code that looks like this:

<TEXTLINES>
<TEXTLINE emphasized="true">
<TEXT>ATYPICAL SQUAMOUS CELLS OF UNDETERMINED SIGNIFICANCE (ASC-US)</TEXT>
</TEXTLINE>
</TEXTLINES>

Now, emphasized will not always be true.. it will be false 70% of the time.

The code I came up with to figure this out was....

<xsl:for-each select="$InterpSection/TEXTLINES/TEXTLINE">
<span>
<xsl:choose>
<xsl:when emphasized="true">
<strong>
<xsl:value-of select="TEXT/text()"/>
</strong>
</xsl:when>
<xsl:otherwise>
<xsl:value-of select="TEXT/text()"/>
</xsl:otherwise>
</xsl:choose>
</span>
</xsl:for-each>

The original code before was...

<xsl:for-each select="$InterpSection/TEXTLINES/TEXTLINE">
<span>
<xsl:value-of select="TEXT/text()"/>
<span
</xsl:for-each>

THIS worked perfectly, except that it doesn't take into consideration the EMPHESIZE. Any idea why this wouldn't work?

XSLT Studio says to me...

TransformerException: "emphasized" attribute is not allowed on the xsl:when element!

THANKS!!!

Todd

You should change the xsl:when statement to:
<xls:when test="@emphasized='true'">
