David ReesSubject: document('',/) incorrect for built-in and Xalan
Author: David Rees
Date: 03 Oct 2003 12:43 PM
It seems that using document('',/) works incorrectly for the builtin and XalanJ processors, or at least inconsistently with the .NET and Saxon processors.

For .NET/Saxon it will return the node-set for the source document (since the Base URI of / would be the source document).

For builtin/XalanJ it will return the node-set for the template.

The .NET/Saxon behavior seems correct from my reading of the specification.

thanks,

dave

Hi David,
yes, you are right in assuming that document('',/) should return the
current document, instead of returning the stylesheet.
We are fixing our processor; you should probably report this bug to the
Xerces-J team too.

Thanks for the report,
Alberto
