Andy MSubject: Custom validation engine output
Author: Andy M
Date: 21 Aug 2003 07:21 AM
Hi,

I've been looking at the custom validation engine features, and I was just wondering how the system links the files names and line no's back to the source... i.e. The output of the validators is arbitrary (or is it required to be in a certain format?) so does the studio app just look for a URL and lineNo charNo pair in each line of the output. The documentation is not too clear on this point.

Thanks

Andy

The format recognized for errors displayed on one line in the output window is:
<url>:<line>[,<col>]: <description>
