Jayashree DesaleSubject: Excelon server
Author: Jayashree Desale

I want to run Excelon server without having a network connection.
I will like to know if it is possible and if yes how?
I already tried changing servlet code to read server name and port number
from web.xml file, and it didn't work. When I unplug a network connection,
execelon stops working.

Hi Jayashree,

I think that you really wanted to send this to the EDN (Excelon Developer's
Network) forum rather than the Stylus Studio one...

Yes, it works fine - that's the normal state of my laptop.

You'll probably need to stop and restart the server after you've
disconnected the network device. The problem is that the server has bound
to the network device that has just gone away, and so it is no longer able
to talk to it's various components. If you restart it, it will bind to a
workable network connection (localhost or any other loopback adapters that
you might have configured).
