Hans-Peter KüchlerSubject: SS4 build91: differences between SS4 and Xalan
Author: Hans-Peter Küchler

Hi, please have a look at the zip file. Extract the zip file into a folder. There are two sub folders (xml xsl). Open SS4 with the project Transform.prj from sub folder xsl. There are four files attached to the project. Open file MaxxDIL.xsl from the project pane. There are two scenarios (Debug, Xalan). Debug is the actual scenario. Press F5 to view the results. Have a look at the first line in the XSLT preview window (change before to text view):

f_MAXX_schreibe_IO_Anteil_DB&( lBdoId$, lIOSeqNr&, lDatenFeld?[] ) =

Note the construct '&'! Change the scenario to Xalan. Press CTRL+F5 to view results. The first line in XSLT Preview looks like:

f_MAXX_schreibe_IO_Anteil_DB&( lBdoId$, lIOSeqNr&, lDatenFeld?[] ) =

There are differences between SS4 and Xalan and imho SS4 is wrong. Now press F5 (without CTRL). The XSLT Preview shows very confused content.

regards, Hans-Peter Küchler

Hi Hans,
thanks for finding this bug. It was caused by an extra entity escaping
phase done when registering variables. The fix will be available in the
next update.

Thanks,
Alberto
