We have created our XLS file using 3.1 and 4.0 Beta. With this new version we are not able to see any graphical mapping details in XML mapper. This is very urgent

This is a not a answer. It is intended to share the similar observation.

If you add any code (using stylus XSLT source tab) is the new code retained ? We have found at times it simply erases the code which has proved to be very dangerous.

Mapper not showing any detail is a serious limitation. Does this mean that stylus can not be used if any change is made to to style sheet ( even using source code tab within stylus )

What are we doing wrong ?

Mapper is designed to preserve all your original xsl code. If by any =chance it erase your original xsl code, it must be a bug and we need to =fix it.

this is the first time we hear from user about this behavior, unless we =can reproduce the problem you described here, the best way to dignose =what goes wrong is through a test case provided by user.

Shrikant,
first you say we are not answering you and that we just want to share a
similar observation. Then you give us a very sketchy description of what
you are doing without details about how to reproduce the problem.

You haven't even told us what version you are using now.

It is in our and your best interest to understand the problem you are
hitting here; the easiest way to understand it is having a testcase and
instructions from you about how to reproduce the problem. If for any reason
you can't (don't want to) share your testcase with us, at least we will
need detailed instructions to reproduce the problem.

We don't have any way to say what you are doing wrong or what the problem
is without knowing the details of the problem.

Thanks,
Minollo

Andy has sent the source, target and the xsl to this board. If you need I can also send the same samples. Let me know.

We have looked at the testcase, and we can see that no lines are displayed
in Mapper view. But looking at the stylesheet it seems to us that the .xsd
you are using as the target schema is not in synch with what was used to
create the XSLT in mapper.

In the target schema you sent, the output structure is something like:
ADAPTER_BO
GenexFileSchema
HeaderSection
...

But your XSLT is creating the ADAPTER_BO root element in the root template,
and then it creates the EBP_ShoppingCart_Superset sub-element, which is
not defined in the target schema you are using. For that reason Mapper is
failing to understand the relationship between source and target schemas in
this case, and no lines are displayed...

Good Job.
You guys were right. Our target schema was wrong. Now mapper is displaying all the details. But code deletion question is still there. I hope I get answer on that too!!

Thanks

Can you detail the steps you follow to reproduce the code deletion issue?

Doing what you suggested earlier (adding/deleting mappings) doesn't seem to
create problems.

Thanks,
Minollo
