Kurt McCawSubject: XML Mapper function problem
Author: Kurt McCaw
Date: 01 May 2002 12:38 PM
Hello all:

I've run into a problem with the XML mapper tool. If I create a variable as follows (in a XSLT document that I've designated as an XML to XML converter):

Notice I need the double quotes '"' around the formating string when the java method is called. I have to use the '"' construct to accomplish this.
Everything is fine in the 'XSLT Source' tab pane. But if I select the 'XML Mapper' pane, I see all the wonderful graphics, and I can work away. I then try to 'run' this transformation and I get an error. I try to back to the 'XML Mapping' tab pane and I get a 'Expected Whitespace' dialog box.
If you look at the 'XSLT source', the function has been changed to:

which is not valid XML. Is there another way of specifying the embedded quote? This sounds like a 'bug' to me with the XML Mapper program as well ...

Regards,
Kurt
