Zitan BrothSubject: XSLT Reformatting
Author: Zitan Broth
Date: 11 Apr 2002 12:40 AM
Greetings All,

I'm evaluating Stylus Studio and it looks very good. Everything was going great and I was thinking of making a case for us to purchase the product :-)

However just now something crazy happened. I went to save (ctrl-s) and I must have gotten another key by mistake and the whole large stylesheet I was working on reformatted itself, in ways I didn't want it to. I couldn't undo. Also when I save XSLT stylesheets now, I only have 3 text options, instead of the rest (which I had before).

Can somebody tell me what is going on, because this isn't a cool thing to happen :-(

Other than that, great product.

Thanks,
Zitan

I am not aware of any default shortcut for "Indent XML Tags"
What version are you running (Help->About)?

The indent operation can not be undone but until you don't save you can
reload the document from the disk (Edit -> Reload Document)

What "options" are you referring to ?
Are you saying that the document content has been crippled ?

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for your post :-)

I'm using version 3.1 build 069r. It wasn't an intent tags, but where I had xsl:variable definitions over 5 lines (so it is easy to check my code) it was reformatted into one line :-(

Yeah no luck there, I went back to a previous version, but when I clicked save as it did the same thing (reformatted it and put it into a very, very ugly font :-( )

No nothing that serious, just annoying. I only have a selection of 3 fonts for displaying my XSLT, how can I get the other ones back.

Thanks, no big deal, but still important to be able to configure the display :-))

The only thing that can motivate the fact that your font list has been
reduced to 3 fonts is that you added a character that can only be
represented by those fonts: e.g. you pressed ctrl-d (or some other key).
Try looking at your XSLT file with a binary editor and see if you have any
unexpected (but invisible) character...

Hi Alberto,

Thanks you rock the party :-))

Btw, I continue to advertise your product to other developers for the simple reason that it is the best I have seen out there, and saves hours of development time.
