I'm having trouble getting this posting to format the way I want, so I'm attaching my question in a text file.

Hi Shane,
I tried indenting several times the snippet you posted (also adding spaces,
tabs and newlines before and after it), but I couldn't reproduce the
behavior you experienced.
You say that it doesn't happen every time, but when it happens, it keeps
removing characters: can you send us the entire XSL stylesheet as soon as
you it happens again? (even by e-mail, if you don't want to post it in a
public place)

Thanks,

Alberto
