Subject:When will the ver. 2.0 WYSIWYG XSL editor return? Author:Tony Goodin Date:04 Mar 2002 05:16 PM
Some 2001 posts by Minollo said that this functionality might return "by the end of the year".
Now I see a post that hints at "summer" of 2002.
Meanwhile, 4.0 will be released in April.
So, what's the current forecast release date for WYSIWYG stylesheet editing?

The new wysiwyg has missed all our plans/schedules; we have been and we are
working hard on XML-to-HTML wysiwyg, and it will be available soon.
The current plan (even if I understand that our credibility in wysiwyg
plans is not that high at this point...) is to start a very restricted beta
in May (basically at the same moment when 4.0 will be available), and to
keep beta testing the functionality - gradually incrementing the number of
beta users - for at least three months.
This should be a realistic plan; I could blame unforeseen technical issues,
unforeseen lack of resources and unforeseen bugs in third party tools we
are using to justify the delay; but none of those really matter.
Try trusting us that we are doing our best to deliver this challenging
functionality to all Stylus Studio users as soon as we can, but with
priority on quality, usability and flexibility.
