When are we going to be able to validate XSD files that have namesapce definitions. At the moment these fail because of the validation against the DTD

At the latest, by the end of the year. This is the scheduled date for the
Xerces-C++ team to complete the XMLSchema support. With the current
implementation, the .XSD file defining the XMLSchema spec cannot be used
for validation, as it uses unsupported constructs.
In any case, whenever they publish a 1.5.2/1.6 version with a partial
implementation that encompasses what is in the xmlschema.xsd file, we will
immediately switch from the DTD-based validation to the XSD-based one.
