Max DunnSubject: Simple XSLFO Example
Author: Max Dunn

I just started with 3.1 and I'm extremely impressed with it so far.

For example you can load the XML and XSLT used in this chapter of the XML bible;
http://www.ibiblio.org/xml/books/bible2/chapters/ch18.html

the XML is at:
http://www.ibiblio.org/xml/books/bible2/source/17/17-1.xml
The XSLT is at:
http://www.ibiblio.org/xml/books/bible2/source/18/18-8.xsl

Simple steps to PDF output from FO/SVG:
  1. Add the above two files to a project
  2. Click on the "..." in the XSLT window and set up a "scenario":
    1. Set the "Source XML" to the XML file on the General tab, and
    2. Select "Post Process With Apache FOP" on the post-process tab, and hit OK.
  3. Click the "Preview XSLT Result" button, and you have a PDF from the FO/SVG.
