When I select print from the menu or from the toolbar when a XSL file is active, nothing happens.

Thanks for reporting this; I'm not surprised, as so many things have
changed in the XSLT editor in 3.1, and we haven't double checked the
printing functionality yet.
We'll take care of that before by the next beta build.
