Erich KilmerSubject: How to build XSLT using Stylus
Author: Erich Kilmer

Hello,
Just downloaded Stylus today. Trying to create an XSL. Created new XSL and told it where to find my XML. So far so good. Can you drag and drop the elements from the XML display part on the right? I have seen how you can double click and move them to the Match|Name|Mode|Priority area but what now?
I have looked at your docs which are very good but haven't found the one that shows how to build an XSL with Stylus yet.
Oh, also will I be able to use the FO tags that are readable by Cocoon?
Many Thanks in Advance

No; the schema display on the right is currently used to highlight the
elements/attributes associated to templates, or to create new (matched)
templates double clicking on an element or attribute.
In the next upcoming version/beta release, the editor will be XSLT context
sensitive, and that will let you drag&drop an element/attribute from the
schema and create a new template or for-each or value-of or select block
with the proper path automatically computed.

When you double click on them a new template with that match pattern is
created; that's why you see it listed in the template grid. At that point
you have to edit XSLT for that template.

There is no automated path to create XSLT at this point. We are adding the
above mentioned mechanism and we are working on wysiwyg. But in the current
version you need to know what you are doing and to write XSLT.

You can use FO tags now, but the Intellisense mechanism won't list them; in
the upcoming beta version you will be able to post-process XSLT which
generated FOs with FOP and see the PDF result in the preview window.
