(Deleted User) Subject: Problem with GA release version 3.0 Stylus

Tech Support:

I've just downloaded and installed the GA release of Stylus Studio. It is unable to present the attached file (acord.dtd) correctly to me. Some of the nodes are missing. My previous release (3.0.0, build 040b) was working without a hitch.

What has changed in this new release?

Are you having problems with how Mapper handles the DTD or in the DTD
editor? Can you give us a couple of node missing names so that we can check
what's going on?

Thanks,
Minollo

Minollo,

I am using the mapper to start a new map. Two new things are happening with the general release:

1. When I click on the "source" bar, and select the ACORD.DTD file, I now get a prompt asking me to select the root element. The Beta version never issued that prompt, since it was always able to find the root element on its own. Ditto for the "destination".

2. And this is the big one. After I select "ACORD" as the root element, the last node the mapper displays is "SignoffRq. There are 4 more nodes below that are not being displayed. And . . . if I click on the "InsuranceSvcRq" node, the first seven child nodes are displayed and the rest are not. There are 17 additional child nodes that are not displayed.

You should be able to verify that with the ACORD.DTD file that I sent earlier.

This has been changed since the algorithm that detected a possible root was
not providing the expected results with some particular DTDs; not having a
method to deterministically detect a reasonable root in a DTD, we now
prefer asking you to explicitly choose one.

We can see this, and we are investigating the problem; we'll keep you posted.

Minollo

Just to keep you informed about this issue: we have identified the problem
which caused this regression in GA; we are implementing a fix; as soon as
this is done and it passes QA, we will make an update version available.

Sorry for the trouble,
Minollo

Buind 43 which is now available as an update to your current version
(Help|Check for newer version) fixes this problem.

Thanks,
Minollo
