Attempting to update to the latest build of Version 16.
getting an error message

The InstallShield Engine (IKernel.exe) could not be installed.

IKernel.exe could not be copied to 'C;\Program Files (x86)\Common FIles\InstallShield\Engine\6\Intel32'

Make sure you have the appropriate privileges to copy files to this foler (0x20).

Yes, my user account has administrative privileges and I am running the installation as administrator.

If I look at that location it is already present.

Hi Dave,

We have few reports on this problem and yet to determine what is the triggering condition.

Kart Wald reported that on a second attempt he succeeded in running the installer.

Could you try renaming folder InstallShied to InstallShied.HIDE, and re-run the installer?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common FIles\InstallShield.HIDE\Engine\6\Intel32'
