David ChandlerSubject: XML Publisher requires duplicating a report for each type of output

In your XML Publisher tutorial you are using what appears to be Stylus Studio 2007. I am currently using the Stylus Studio X15 release 2. When I create an XML Report it requires me to choose "XHTML+CSS" or "XSL-FO(PDF)" before designing the form. In your example that choice is delayed until you decide to "Generate" the XSLT by clicking the "Generate" button.
Is there a configuration file setting to change so that I can utilize one XML Publisher report for generating "XHTML+CSS" and "XSL-FO(PDF)" documents?

Hi David,

This is no longer possible, you have to pick the output at creation time.

Is there an efficient way to reuse my design/report without managing/updating two identical designs?

You can copy paste from one XML Report to another but you need to keep them synchronized.

HTML and PDF serve different purpose and usually are approached differently. PDF is for printing and typically will be designed with fixed dimensions and offsets. HTML is typically more floating.
