How does one print Tree view? If you presently do not have a method, you need one. Since you can do tree view, could you also make a panel of Xpath strings? It would be very useful to copy Xpath strings. If I had these tools, I could include figures generated by them for my publications.

Hi Bob,
Stylus Studio doesn't allow printing the tree view of an XML document, as it never surfaced as being an useful feature of an XML editor. Could you elaborate on the reasons behind your request?

As for the XPath strings, you can right click on a tree leaf and issue the "Copy XPath to clipboard" command. Is the panel of XPath strings you suggest something different from this feature?

The tree view would look very nice as a figure in a scientific publication. Scientific publications are a good way of being introduced to your future customers. It also would be useful to save a list of the XPaths of the elements and attributes in a schema.
Presently, I am involved in a serious discussion concerning medical software. Someone is making a big fuss about the necessity of structuring schemas to minimize the lengths of the XPaths. I believe that this is wrong, since one should emphasize readability including the use of well designed data structures.

Parenthetically, does or when will Stylus Studio support curies? The use of curies could significantly simplify XPath statements.

Hi Bob,
it's not so easy to build a list of the XPath expressions pointing to an instance XML, starting from its schema definition. The schema could be recursive in nature, and the set would be infinite in size...
As you are talking about schema design, are you by chance referring to the tree view of the XML Schema definition when you ask about printing the tree? Because that tree view can be both printed and used to generate an HTML documentation page.

As for CURIEs (as defined at http://www.w3.org/TR/curie/) we don't plan to add specific support for them; it's a technology designed to help writing RDF documents, and as such it's transparent to XML editors.
