Jay ShillingtonSubject: Expand/Collapse Trees
Author: Jay Shillington

Stylus is missing the feature to expand and collapse trees and branches. It’s very frustrating to be working on a XML document and by changing from tree to text view, editing a line and then going back causes the tree to collapse. The frustrating part, is then you have to navigate branches back to where you were. Suggest keeping state and adding context menu items to expand/collapse trees and branches.

Also along these lines it would be a nice feature to have the views stay in sync as in they all have focus on the same line.

Jay, thanks for your feedback.

In version 6.1 we have added the behavior you are describing (keeping expanded/collapsed state across tab changes) in the Grid XML editor tab; but we haven't done the same on the tree control yet.

As long as synchronization goes, the views are synchronized based on the active "editing" position in the tab from which you are switching; if you have a specific testcase in which that doesn't work, we would be interested in having more details.

Thanks,
Minollo
