Also, there is no explanantion of what "Poll" means.<br> <br> 2. Stylus Studio Pro - I want to open a website WSDL: the Help shows an icon "Open WSDL Document", but I cannot see it in my SS screen or under any of the commands. You can also drag and drop a URL into the "Stylus framework" - but what is that, how? The Help also shows a UDDI browser, but gives no hint how to find or open it.<br> <br> NB. The Help documentation provided with SS Pro is called the "Home" edition - maybe that is the source of the problem?<br> <br> Any hints to get me started with the really basic stuff would be appreciated!

Hi, Sebastian. Thanks for the feedback on SSDN and on our user documentation.

We use a third-party product for the SSDN forum, and to be candid we haven't spent a lot of time looking at the online help furnished with that product. We'll certainly look into in the future if it makes using SSDN easier.

As for the Stylus Studio user documentation. First, can you tell me which version of Stylus Studio you are using (click Help > About Stylus Studio)? Web services are not supported in Home Edition, which would explain why you're not seeing any Web service-related tools (File > New> Web Service Call, for example), but I want to be sure.

If you are using Stylus Studio XML Professional Edition, to get started using the Web Service Call Composer, let me suggest the following resources:

We have a video tutorial here:

http://www.stylusstudio.com/learn_wsdl.html

This will provide you with a broad overview of the tools you use to implement a Web service call in Stylus Studio.

And Stylus Studio's support for Web services, soup to nuts, is documented starting here:
http://www.stylusstudio.com/docs/v62/d_webservices.html#wp331853

If you have a question/issue with a specific piece of documentation, please give me more information to help me locate it so I can understand the problem and make any needed changes as we go forward.

I hope this helps.

Thanks!
David

David,

Thank you for your helpful feedback.

I am using Stylus Studio Pro release 2 (build 2871), 30 day evaluation version. So I should be able to see the Web Services features.

I will spend the time to get better acquainted with the product through the links you suggest.
