neo kSubject: xquery syntax
Author: neo k

Hi All,
I write xqueries which has to be run on Mark logic database. I find the syntax rules little different when i use stylus studio 2008 and mark logic CQ tool for writing my queries.

ML way of defining a function is

define function test($s as xs:string) as element()*{

}

where as stylus says it has to be

declare function local:test($s as xs:string) as element()*{

}

Is there a way for me to work using the same syntax for both stylus and ML.

Stylus Studio supports the XQuery 1.0 syntax, as specified by the W3C XQuery 1.0 Recommendation: http://www.w3.org/TR/xquery/#FunctionDeclns
