Iv BoSubject: dbxml and collection()
Author: Iv Bo
Date: 13 Apr 2007 11:34 AM
Hello,

I am trying to execute a simple query containing the collection() function against a dbxml container with no success.

I use the following syntax:
for $i in collection("dbxml:///d/xmldb/master.dbxml") ...

but get the following error:
XQURIResolver::resolveCollection Sourcename dbxml not found for collection dbxml:///d/xmldb/master.dbxml

Is the collection() function supported with dbxml containers?

Software versions:
Stylus Studio 2007 8.1
Sleepycat Software: Berkeley DB XML 2.2.13: (December 19, 2005)
Sleepycat Software: Berkeley DB 4.3.29: (September 6, 2005)
Windows XP

Thanks in advance

As it appears to me, the collection() function is not supported with dbxml containers.

I wonder, how can one claim that dbxml is supported in their environment when all it supports is retreive whole xml documents from containers (no queries, no indexes, no meta data)
