Hi,

I need to transform various HTML pages to XML documents. That works fine using the xquery editor. However it is very tedious to find the sources nodes ! (X)HTML documents are usually very complex XML trees, so currently I open the source document separately an use the query editor to find my node and than manually paste the source into the xquery doc.

Is there any way to do this directly from the xquery editor ? If not it would be an important feature to add ! (I guess this is not to difficult as the xpath/xquery UI already exists)

Hi Joe,
if you need just to find out the path to reach a specific node, you can use the schema pane that is located at the right of the XQuery editor, and drag the node you need into the editor itself in order to generate the correct XPath (possibly using paths relative to the declared variables).
If you need instead to pick up a specific node by looking at its value, using the XPath window in the XML Editor is the correct way (you can also tailor the namespace prefix to be the same used in the XQuery that will host the XPath)
