Frederick C. LeeSubject: XQuery and Javascript 1.5+ on IE6
Author: Frederick C. Lee

Greetings:
My client wishes to stay with IE6/Win2000 which limits me considerably. I need to do some recursive javascript logic to parse a DOM object.

I can do it using Javascript 1.5+ which is available in Firefox & Opera; and probably Safari. But not in IE6 (Javascript 1.3). So I'm crippled.

So if I can't use an adequate Javascript version to parse a DOM object, perhaps I can do some data mining using XQuary.

So question: Does or can MS Internet Explorer work with XQuery, XPath 2.0? Or can I safely say, that IE6 is a piece of CRAP?

It's not clear what this has to do with Stylus Studio, but
IE6 does not support XPath 2.0 or XQuery 1.0, but only XSLT
1.0. Since this is a Microsoft-specific question, perhaps
you'd have more success posting on a Microsoft forum, or
on the xsl-list or xquery-talk email lists. They might be
able to help with alternatives.
