Marc FeickertSubject: Create a namespace in output file that does not have a prefix
Author: Marc Feickert

I have an input file with a namespace such as xmlns:ns1="<some URL>"

I have written my XSLT to exclude the namespace where desired in the result doc, but i want it on the root. However, the client needs the output to look like this: <root xmlns="<some URL>"

I have tried using <xsl:element name="bob" namespace ="<URL>">, which gives the desired results for my root element, but all children look like this: <child xmlns=""/>. I do not want that empty namespace attribute, just <child>.

Suggestions?
