Hi,
I am very new to xsl.I have searched the net for this.please tell me a simple xsl to add 2 elements.
<element>
<a>10</a>
<b>30</b>
</element>

i shud get the output as
<solution>
40
</solution>

i tried using the sum function but its not working.do i need to write something in the top(as in include something for using sum).
and one more thing,the elements inside the element tag occur multiple times.please help.

What does it mean "it's not working"? sum() is definitely what you want to use; something like this, for example:
<xsl:value-of select="sum(/element/*)"/>

For future reference, general XSLT questions are better asked on an XSLT discussion list, like the one managed by mulberrytech dot com.
