Author: Bruno Domenici

Hi,

I need a little help. I need to XPath a tag in a CDATA section, look my XML:

<soap:Envelope xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:dp="http://www.datapower.com/schemas/management">
<soap:Body>
<nfeConsultaNFResponse xmlns="http://www.portalfiscal.inf.br/nfe/wsdl/NfeConsulta">
<nfeConsultaNFResult>
<![CDATA[<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<retConsSitNFe xmlns="http://www.portalfiscal.inf.br/nfe" versao="1.07">
<infProt>
<tpAmb>1</tpAmb>
<verAplic>SP_NFE_PL_005a_R02</verAplic>
<cStat>100</cStat>
<xMotivo>Autorizado o uso da NF-e</xMotivo>
<cUF>35</cUF>
<chNFe>35081147542600000730550000003379631922121342</chNFe>
<dhRecbto>2008-11-25T22:49:28</dhRecbto>
<nProt>135080018858992</nProt>
<digVal>tJmG2560vXNeooJTM4omzBfLkaU=</digVal>
</infProt>
</retConsSitNFe>]]></nfeConsultaNFResult>
</nfeConsultaNFResponse>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>

I need to extract tpAmb tag, via XSLT/XPath, my XLST:

<?xml version='1.0' ?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
xmlns:nfe="http://www.portalfiscal.inf.br/nfe"
xmlns:nfe2="http://www.portalfiscal.inf.br/nfe/wsdl/NfeConsulta"
xmlns:dyn="http://exslt.org/dynamic"
xmlns:exslt="http://exslt.org/common">

<xsl:template match="/">
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:nfe="http://www.portalfiscal.inf.br/nfe" xmlns:nfe2="http://www.portalfiscal.inf.br/nfe/wsdl/NfeConsulta">
<soapenv:Header/>
<soapenv:Body>
<nfe:retConsSitNFe versao="1.02">
<nfe:infProt>
<nfe:tpAmb>
<xsl:value-of select="//nfe:tpAmb" />
</nfe:tpAmb>
<nfe:verAplic>
<xsl:value-of select="//nfe:verAplic"/>
</nfe:verAplic>
<nfe:cStat>
<xsl:value-of select="//nfe:cStat"/>
</nfe:cStat>
<nfe:xMotivo>
<xsl:value-of select="//nfe:xMotivo"/>
</nfe:xMotivo>
<nfe:cUF>
<xsl:value-of select="//nfe:cUF"/>
</nfe:cUF>
</nfe:infProt>
</nfe:retConsSitNFe>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>

Any idea!?

Thanks!

Hi Bruno,
whatever is inside a CDATA node, is a single text fragment; what CDATA does is to avoid the manual escaping of reserved characters, but in reality, <tag><![CDATA[<>]]></tag> is identical to <tag><></tag>.
So the only way you can extract a piece of that CDATA is if you use a custom XSLT function that parses the text fragment, on which you can then apply the XPath expression to locate it.
