Tim CrewsSubject: base-uri() returns mangled filenames?
Author: Tim Crews

If you've read my five other posts from the last couple of days :^), you'll know that I've been working with an evaluation version of Stylus Studio. I've moved from the Home Edition to the Professional Edition to get the query support that I need.

My XSLT 2.0 stylesheet uses the base-uri() function. When I run the stylesheet using Stylus Studio, with the Saxon 8.9.0.3 processor selected in the scenario, base-uri() has abbreviated long pathnames into the old DOS 8.3-compliant pathnames, so that strings like "target~1" show up in the pathname.

When I use Saxon 8.9.0.3 outside of Stylus Studio, it doesn't do this.

I need the unabbreviated pathname. Is there a way to get it?
