Kim ThomasSubject: Sublist display as child node -

Hi I am very new to xslt and very new to StylusStudio. My company is thrilled with this product and will be buying a full version soon if I can produce reports per their specifications.

I wrote one on my own before I knew about Stylus and it works fine but now they want to add this special feature and I have no idea how to do it.

Example:
I have a table sorted by lot_number. Each lot number can have many sub-lots. I can use the list feature to list all sublots per lot,

but

is there a way to allow user to only print parent node if they want, and child node (sub-lots) if they want in one report?

Preferably there is a + sign next to the lot column. If they want to see sub-lots they can click on the + sign and sub-lots appear. and they click on the + sign(now become -) sub-lots disappeared?

It will work like a dynamic tree view to toggle between displaying sub-lots or not.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you

One thought that comes to mind (mainly because I just implemented it not too long ago) is to create your report in HTML that contains Javascript. The Javascript would collapse and expand the portions of the report you wish to hide and change the img to a plus and a minus as needed.

You can do this all in XSLT that transforms your XML to HTML.
