Ivan PedruzziSubject: Encode and decode XML to and from base64
Author: Ivan Pedruzzi
Date: 17 Oct 2011 05:14 PM
The attached example and companion Java extension functions show how to encode XML into base64 text and parse base64 text back to XML in XSLT 1.0

The function prototypes are self-explanatory:

- String serializeToBase64(Node node)
- Node parseFromBase64(String base64, String encoding)

The classes have been compiled with Java 6, but the source code are compatible with older Java versions.

In addition the samples show how to accomplish the same task using DataDirect XQuery base64 built-in functions.

Hope this helps
