hi, all.

i am very new to XML, but now i want to prepare some routine on my own to read the XML with single / multiple child, but by giving .documentelement.childnodes i am able to find how many child the parent has but how do i find the no of rows & fields that child is having programatically.

If you want an answer, you're going to have to be more specific.
Do you want sample code in XQuery, XSLT, Java, C++ or something else?

i am trying to write a routine to read the xml which can work for VFP / VB / .Net / C# by making minor changes as per the syntax part of the application / language used.

forum.

You are asking the question in the wrong place.
We don't have those answers for you.
You need to try another forum, on another website, that could give
you an answer.
Try using http://www.google.com/ to search for another website that
might point you in the right direction, or ask on the newsgroup
comp.text.xml.
