Kurt MartinSubject: XPath Query Editor 'Buggy'
Author: Kurt Martin

We use the XPath Query Editor extensively, but it locks up the screen or even crashed all too often. Sometimes it locks up as soon as you start typing in the editor window, other times it is fine. About 20% of the queries we enter actually crashes SS.

Any ideas on why this is happening?

Hi Kurt,
thank you for reporting this problem; one of the most plausible causes is that Stylus runs out of memory, as the XPath processor must build the DOM representation of the current XML document.
Could you check with the task manager what is the size of memory allocated by Stylus just before it crashes?

Thanks,
Alberto
