Erich ManserSubject: Stylesheets over multiple documents
Author: Erich Manser

Hi folks

I've got two xml documents (data1.xml and data2.xml) combined in a binder document called test.bnd.

If I try to apply stylesheet test.xsl to the binder document I get all of the information of data1.xml but nothing of data2.xml.

Any idea what's going wrong?

I'm using eXcelon B2B Server 2.5!

greetings eric

Stylus doesn't support applying a stylesheet to a binder with the binder's links expanded. Sorry.

Yes, I know. That's told in the manuals. Stylus doesn't! But eXcelon Explorer perhaps? Or eXcelon Server at least should?!? What else could be the use of this possibility? Do Server Extensions use them?

The primary use of binders is to allow queries and indices across multiple documents. At the moment, the easiest way to get an expanded binder is to run a query for /multidoc_container/* and save the results.

The eXcelon client API will soon allow retrieving documents with links expanded. Stylus will take advantage of that once it is available.
