Rainer ReitzSubject: Issue with external Javascript
Author: Rainer Reitz

Hi,

if we 'include' external Javascript to the XSL, the processor (Saxon) cuts the full </script> tag to />, which normally is OK.

BUT!!! The script only runs when we insert a placeholder '&nbsp;' AND the full </script> tag!!!

---

Before (working):

<script type="text/javascript" src="{$firstPartPathWith}IT/MCU/js/external.js">&nbsp;</script>

After (not working with MSIE, working with Firefox):

<script type="text/javascript" src="{$firstPartPathWith}IT/MCU/js/external.js"/>

Hi Rainer,

please change the output method to be html, you will not need to add any extra character in the script body.

<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:output method="html"/>

Hope this helps
