Hello,
I have been tring to follow the tutorial http://www.stylusstudio.com/java_code_generation.html on creating a standalone Java conversion. It all seems to compile fine, however when I run the code I get:(Fatal Error) java.io.UTFDataFormatException: Invalid byte 1 of 1-byte UTF-8 sequence.: Invalid byte 1 of 1-byte UTF-8 sequence.

Please see attached screen shot, please advise

Thank you!!
Rick

Are you using the original sampleBooksToCatalog.xsl file included in the examples (looks like you added a Apache FOP post processing step at least)? What processor did you choose in the Scenario dialog?

What Stylus Studio build are you running? (Help > About)

Thanks,
Minollo

Hello Minollo,
Yes I'm using the orginal xsl file in the examples folder, and the tutorial guides you through adding the FOP for post processing creation of the PDF file.

Im using version 501i

Thank you for your help!
Rick

The tutorial tells you how to add FOP post-processing if you need it; doing it in this case doesn't make sense. Even if I don't think that's the problem you are hitting.

Which XSLT processor did you choose?
