Adam Van den HovenSubject: Minor bug with Search and Replace
Author: Adam Van den Hoven

Hi!

I've had it a few times where I have a large area selected (in this case in a comment block) and do a search and replace (involving tab characters) only on the selected area. When I look at the result, I find that its been done everywhere.

Its unexpected an a minor nuisance, although I could see myself doing a LOT of cursing if I was doing a different search and replace.

Hi Adam,
can you be more specific about this problem? I tried selecting multiple
lines inside the XSL, XML and Java editor, then popping up the
Search/Replace dialog, asking to replace a TAB with a single space, and
pressing "Replace All", and it worked as expected.
Can you recall the sequence of operations you did to have the replace work
on the entire file?

Thanks,
Alberto
