Luis MesaSubject: Change defaul behavior of SS mapper
Author: Luis Mesa
Date: 16 Oct 2002 10:49 AM
Hi:

is there a registry entry or ini setting that will allow me to change the default behavior of the SS mapper?

Specifically I'm looking to start the mapper with the entire DTD or schema expanded as opposed to just showing the root node. I also need the "Does for each" and "passes value" always set to true.

Thank you.

No.

Well, you can just select the root node and click the "*" key...

No, there isn't a chance to change the default behavior of those settings.
We are crating a PCR about this.

Thanks,

When I click on the root node, it only expands its immediate children, I was looking to expand the entire tree the way MS Biztalk's mapper does. It's very cumbersome to click on all parent nodes when you're dealing with a large DTD/schema.

Thanks for the quick response anyway.

I didn't mean "click"; I meant select the root node and press the "*" key.

This is what you said:

I type the '*' key and nothing happens. I'm using 4.0 build 100f. Is this only available on 4.5?

Sorry, I was assuming you were familiar with this behavior which is pretty
standard in Windows tree controls.

You need to press the "*" key in the numeric pad, not "shift+8". That will
work, also in 4.0 BL100f.
