How can I change the directory to which SS will store its temporary files?

Stylus uses the system temp directory for temporary files. You should
change that if you want Stylus to use a different one.

If your problem is related to have your previewed document resolve relative
hrefs (to pictures, for example), then you can do that setting the BASE
directory in the Scenario dialog.
