Ramsey AmeenSubject: Migration to Xerces 2?
Author: Ramsey Ameen

Do you plan to migrate XML parsing in SS to the Xerces 2 platform? If so, do you have any proposed timetable in mind?

The critical functionality I am looking for is full W3C schema support. This functionality is now available via he Xerces 2 parser.

Hi Ramsey,
the Xerces 2 platform you refer to is the Xerces-J parser; Stylus Studio
uses the Xerces-C parser, and currently ships with the version 1.6 (to be
precise, version 1.6 plus some patches).
In any case, Xerces-C 1.6 has full support for the W3C schema specs (see
http://xml.apache.org/xerces-c/schema.html for the details), so if you have
problems in this area we would like to know them.

Thanks,
Alberto

Thanks for the clarification. I will have another look at your current build and run my test data against it.
