David HinzSubject: Attribute value replacement
Author: David Hinz
Date: 04 Feb 2002 07:24 PM

I have an entity defined as:

In the XML I have:

When I click on the button on the XML editor that does the "Indent XML Tags" the tag is changed to:

Is there a way of keeping the replacement from happening?

I tried using the Tools->Options->Editor General->XML->Automatically Insert Attribute Value but it doesn't seem to change anything.

Can I use an ENTITY as the value of an attribute?

Thanks,
david.

This is a known problem; the indent command will expand entities in
attribute values (not in element (text node) values). We are aware of this,
and the fix is on our to-do list.
